“Kokoro” offers various forms of coaching as well as amazing adventures in and around the beautiful island of Gili air. These experiences include Reiki healing, Life coaching, Nutritional advice, Training advice, Breathwork, guided meditations and dance meditation, massages, snorkelling and diving, bon fires on the beach, music, ceremonies and more.

REIKI AND HOW IT WORKS

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is Japanese for universal life force energy

“Rei” means universal or all-knowing and all-encompassing.

“ki” means life force energy or soul energy.

It was discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the year 1922.

Reiki operates with the premise that the chemistry of our being is deeply rooted in energy; always reflecting in the body, mind and in the emotions/spirit. A healthy body and mind requires a sufficient flow of this energy. If this life force energy is low, or one has blockages or imbalances in the energy body, we are more likely to feel stress and anxiety which can lead to physical sickness through psychosomatic effect. If we have high energy, we are more capable of being balanced and healthy. 

Reiki is administered through light touch and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force- energy” flows through us and it is what causes us to be alive. Reiki heals by flowing through the energy centers (chakras) and auric fields, supporting and charging affected areas with positive high vibrating energy. This results in the transmutation (or resistance) of any energy blocks in the clients energy system. When the resistance is eliminated, balance can be restored. A balanced energy system is essential for a balanced body, mind, emotions and ones spirit.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of holistic healing and self-improvement that everyone can use.

GUIDED AND DANCE MEDITATION

Guided Mediation:

Meditation is the route to the knowing of your potential and who you are in order to live a more fulfilled life. It is the methodology of the science of awareness. With awareness we are able to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state.

The beauty of this inner science is that it enables whoever wants to explore and to experiment within, to do so alone. This eliminates dependence on an outer authority.  There are a number of meditation techniques, some active; others require you to be still.

We use techniques that have originated mostly in India, techniques they have used for hundreds of years. Through practicing these techniques for a long period of time, they enable us to consciously express and experience repressed feelings and emotions, and to learn how to observe our habitual patterns with a new perspective.

Once you understand the steps in meditation, you walk the walk in your own individual way. 

Dance Meditation:

Dance meditation is a type of meditation in which we use rhythm, freedom of movement and an intuitive state to express ourselves. Many of us carry tension which is simply trapped energy. The wild and free movement of the dance is a great way to set this energy free and get it moving. We facilitate “sacred dancing” which is the use of dance to explore and express our spiritual identity and soul. We immerse ourselves in moment to moment expression of feelings and revelations which emerge. Sacred dancing allows us to enter a trance-like state where we are able to discover our essence. This Improvised dancing allows us to learn more about our psychological nature, where we perceive elements of which we were previously unaware in our emotional sub-conscious. We probe into subtle states which are identified as spiritual. As our body becomes energized through movement, we discern more clearly the energy of the body and its relation to the energy of the surrounding worlds. The body becomes a sacred focal point of spiritual power within the physical world. 

We facilitate the movement in groups which provides a means of ego-transcendence.  We re-define and separate ego as we merge into the group’s common activity, emotion and rhythm. This sacred dance is transformative and healing and is perfect for anyone seeking truth.

YOGA

Hatha/Vinyasa style  will be offered daily. This style of yoga combines traditional breath centred approaches and somatic mindfulness. A variety of techniques will be taught throughout the retreat, each session will focus on teachings of each chakra.  The progressive sequence of Vinyasa yoga will help to cultivate awareness that links each action to the next, on the mat and in your day to day life. Both beginner and intermediate levels will be taught. this a chance for you to deepen your practice or start your journey in yoga.

LIFE COACHING

The aim of a coach is to build a rapport with the conscious, work to discover the sub conscious and open up the path way to the being (and not just the doing).

 

Coaching reflects back the goal or challenge to face, assists with a plan to overcome/achieve it and provides motivation and support to follow the plan. 

As a coach I believe that each individual has all the resources they need to assist  inside of themselves and that all you need help with is accessing them. I aim to help you gain clarity in your life and make you aware of the resources you have to solve a problem or fulfill your dreams.

 

There is a place for focusing on goals, but there is also a need to create the space for growth. A coach encourages making a space and time to sit and be with challenges, to feel the challenges or blockages, to feel the feelings about the challenges or blockages and to then see them differently with a new perspective. This promotes moving forward and beyond. I will help reframe your challenges so they can be experienced or enjoyed as growth.

 

 

Life coaching involves the following:

  1. Assists people to identify, clarify and create a vision for who you truly aspire to be.

  2. Assists in navigating our busy, increasingly complex lives and helps us steer through a multitude of choices and opportunities.

  3. Use coaches expertise to modify goals as needed

  4. Helps clients reflect back simplicity in their lives. 

  5. Help you ignite passion in your relationships.

  6. Gives clients free will, opportunity to grow and change, with freedom of choice.

  7. Provides a safe space to be seen and heard without judgment of reprisal or long lasting impact.

  8. Helps you identify what is truely important and helps set you on a path towards it. 

  9. Coaches share tools and techniques such as NLP, meditation or grounding techniques for a healthier, happier state of mind to help us deal with stress or bigger life trauma.

 

The above mentioned are just a few examples but guidance is without limitation.I am here to cater to each of your own personal needs and areas that you seek growth and change-work in. 

NUTRITION AND PERSONAL TRAINING

As a lot of new age study has been disproven, my knowledge on training and nutrition comes mostly from a culmination of self study through case studies on various topics, self experimentation and a lot of research into ancient philosophy regarding health, manipulation of hormones through food (as most of todays foods do this with negative effect) and longevity. When getting advice abroad form Kokoro living, I will be able to develop training and nutritional programmes with follow ups, target dates and constant support for whatever programme you choose.

Eating programmes start at 8 weeks and training programmes at 5 weeks. For change and reset in the human anatomy, 4 weeks is the minimum for the body to adapt on a physical level, mentally you will feel a change in the first week. I construct personal nutritional programmes for each individual, body type and blood type, outlining very broad spectrum charts of what to avoid and what will benefit the most so there will always be variety. People needing to address illness or disease will have a stricter and more regimented programme.

As far as training is concerned, this too will be tailored to each individuals goals and of course, ability. Training programmes will be altered every 4 - 6 weeks for however long the Client is in need of our support.

The retreat offers you two massages on separate days during your week with us. These range from traditional Balinese to Thai to aromatherapy treatments. So go on, let life love you some more.

SNORKELLING/DIVING

EXCURSION

The Gili islands offer some of the best diving and snorkelling experiences in the world. With magnificent coral reefs, an astonishing number of different marine species and especially the enormous turtles that are seen daily, this place truly holds magic it its waters.

AUTHENTIC COOKING CLASS

Another highlight of this retreat is our traditional, authentic cooking class with a renowned chef on the island. Having worked all over the world but returning to the simple life that is Gili air, it will be a fun filled night of learning something new and enjoying an amazing dinner with new friends.

CACAO CEREMONY

A sacred cacao ceremony followed with a conscious dance celebration will be held on last evening. The dance meditation allows the cacao to activate within the heart and body and create transformation. This ceremony will contribute to aligning you with your truest self.
